Teen Moms Home
The mission of Pathways to Purpose for teen mothers is to educate, equip and prepare young mothers to work toward self-sufficiency by providing a stable and comfortable parenting residential facility offering supportive services including continued support, guidance, community resources and life skills. We strive for our PTP mothers to live independently, be a provider and positive example for their
children, while confidently living a purposeful life.
Nutrition and health care
Teen mothers are provided with nutritious meals and snacks to support the health and development of them and their child. We provide infant formula and baby food. Meals are prepared in house with care by the staff and assistance of our moms. Every teen mother will be connected with health care coverage for them and their child.
Transportation
Transportation services are provided by Pathways To Purpose to support teens travel needs to school, appointments, community events, and more.
For the child
Pathways To Purpose provides the necessary infant furnishings such as cribs, bouncers, high chairs, play pens, strollers, and toys. We are also supplied with diapers, wipes and other hygiene items, infant medicines, baby clothes, baby food, and more.
Counseling
Teen mothers will receive counseling services to help support their mental health, manage pre and post partem challenges, improve self-sufficiency and development, and foster healing. By caring for more than basic needs, teen mothers can thrive and live a healthy life with their child.
Specialized staff
Qualified staff provide trauma-informed care. The staff include Registered Nurses and Licensed Social Workers who are available 24/7.
Mother child relationship
We are passionate about the connection between a mother and her child. Here at Pathways To Purpose, teen mothers will receive prenatal and postnatal care, mom-to-mom mentorship programing, parenting education, maternal mental health care, and more. These services are provided with the purpose of developing, building, and maintaining a strong bond between the mother and child, and preventing separation.
Loving home environment
At Pathways To Purpose, teen mothers will live in a safe and comfortable environment rooted in care, support, and compassion with a staff that is dedicated to the well-being of every teen in our facility. We provide personal items for mother and child. Teens will have access to tools for parenting, career readiness, personal development, and more.
